I don't know if this is a blight to every school or if it's unique to Pitt, but being sent all these spam emails about "benefits to joining the National Guard" is tiring. I tried unsubscribing. I'm still getting these emails, and they keep coming from different senders so it's not even like I can just put an address on a block list and be done with it. The last straw has been that the latest email I got about it (from some guy named Evan) didn't even have an unsubscribe option. Surely this must be a violation of some university policy on abusing student mailing lists. I would like to report these guys to the FTC for violating the CAN-SPAM Act, but I don't know if military recruitment counts as "commercial messaging. " Alternatively, if someone knows how to get me off of all the mailing lists of garbage Pitt sends out, that would be great too.

The naval version's undercarriage has also been modified to bear the load that comes with this landing. It also has to land at a steep angle and to take-off via ski-jump (an upward curved ramp available on the Vikramaditya). A carrier runway and ski-jump were replicated for the trial at the test facility.
