my Birmingham hip resurfacing was 11 years ago on September 29. many thanks to my doctor and nurses and his other assistants. my congenital hip defect would have made me severely limited in physical activity. instead, i am able to be very active and lead a normal life. since that date and with the encouragement of my tumblr friends, i completed several Warrior Dash, 4 Spartans, and 3 Tough Mudders and an assortment of other obstacle course events.

Wife says it is dry and I should be able to get a shower tomorrow. Lets see if this three day old scar shows. Heres mine Op done 06/08/2010 so not bad for two weeks. I'm at 3 1/2 weeks post-op right now. This pic is from about a week after surgery. Here's my new zipper - RTHR, at approx 5 weeks post-op.
